Missy Kissy's new duds

My Milly Moo has a dolly, her name is Missy Kissy. I decided that Missy Kissy needs more outfits than just the one. Missy Kissy's duds to buy are outrageously expensive so Nanny Skip decided to make some. Missy Kissy also looked cold.... so Nanny Skip made a blanky as well.

Merry Christmas Milly Moo.

(Excuse the gross photos, but it's so dim here because of mega rain.. which I'm not complaining about at all!

24 Weeks Until Christmas Week 3

It's a new week - so let's do it! Don't forget if you don't have a finished project, an update is just as acceptable. :) I can't wait to see what Santa's little helpers make this week!

3....2....1..... blast off!

I finished this yesterday - it's for my boy E's Christmas present. On the backing I used blue fabric with big white numbers all over it. He'll love that!

I got the tutorial from HERE. I'm pleased to say that FMQing is getting easier. I think I've finally worked out the tension on my machine so that helps a lot!

I'm happy I got this project finished in time for week 2 of 24 weeks until Xmas challenge.

I'm here... just busy..

I have so many big projects that I am working on at the moment... my blog is going to look awesome when it's all done!

1. Mop's quilt - totally done by hand... I've been hand appliquing on some flowers and butterflies... soon will be ready to hand quilt it!

2. Milly's Quilt - just started piecing it. Each block takes sooooo long! Hopefully will have all the blocks finished by the end of the week and then it's time to assemble to quilt top.

3. EJ's Space Cushion - need to finish appliquing and then quilt it before putting it together.

Don't ask me about all the projects I want to start on either!!

Merry Christmas Niecey!

One of my darling nieces will get this as part of their Christmas present. I plan to fill them up with all sorts of girly bits and bobs. :)

I'm not thrilled with how these turned out because it isn't smooth on the bottom - but I still love them. :) I got the tutorial from HERE

Please note...

... that these note books are too cute to give away!

I have made 4 of these to tuck away for later/emergency gifts. I'm so proud of them - considering that I didn't use a tutorial for the grey one. I popped in a pen holder and strap, thinking they would look really cute. :) I'm really happy with these and I may just steal one for myself. :P

24 Weeks Til Christmas (Week 1)

UNTIL 16th JUNE

Let's begin shall we?

Dear Gail, Car and Kylie.

Welcome to 24 weeks until Christmas Challenge. I hope that we can inspire and encourage each other with our different projects as we countdown to Christmas.

Every week I'll have a linky thingamebobbo (I know, I'm highly technalomoigical) - and as you complete Christmas projects - add the link. If you finish more than one project that week, please feel free to link it. If you don't finish a project, but have been working on something, link anyway - we want to read and see what you are doing. :) I realize some projects can take a long time. This isn't designed to pressure you in any way.

A button is available for you to pop on your blog if you would like to, so others can join in if they desire. You may have noticed I didn't put a deadline in to sign up - I figure if people want to join in, they may at anytime. It's about having fun and trying to make Christmas creating less crazy than it has to be!

I'll be back tomorrow with my first christmas present. :)

Heat Pads

I decided that I would use up some scraps in my scrap tub. I thought these would make nice gifts - they are heat pads - something to pop your casserole dish onto. :)

6 of them made so that's six items for OPAM. WOOHOO!! I have a couple more I will probably make, but for now.... that's pretty good.

24 Weeks Until Christmas

It's 24 weeks until Christmas. Yes I know. A long way a way. But if you are like me, and have lots of crafty plans for Christmas, then it's not too early to start now.

So I am going to do a challenge. At least 1 Christmas present a week. Every Friday I need to post my completed gift. This will prove difficult as Uni. resumes again for the semester, but I think it's a good one. It means that Christmas crafting won't be crazy and stressful come Christmas time.

I'm going to open this challenge up for everyone. This is my very first one so I am a little nervous. If you want to participate - leave a link to your Blog here - and if I get no players... I'm going to look like a real dill! :P

There are no rules. Just join in, and blog on Friday your creative Christmas presents. It could be Christmas cards, gifts, decorations, baked goods... ANYTHING! We just want to see what you have made. By Christmastime, you should have made at least 24 items! :) I figure that's 24 less items to make the week before Christmas. :D

Embroidery Finished!

A few days ago I set myself a challenge, to finish the embroidery part of Mop's quilt in 10 days. Well that was enough to get me motivated and finishing the challenge well within the time limit! It took me 7 days to get it all done - and I'm happy with how it looks.

Here are a couple of the embroidered squares I did. Since I'm fairly new at embroidery, I am very proud of my efforts.

So the next challenge was to get the applique done in 10 days. Well the applique is stuck on the quilt, it's just a matter of stitching them on. I'll need to head down to spotlight tonight to get some matching cottons so I can begin. This will take a while, since this is my 100% hand quilted piece, so I'll need to hand sew them on. Eeek... oh well. I wanted at least 1 project done completely by hand, from piecing to quilting.
So I have until the 10th of July to have this part of the challenge done. Wish me luck! :)
