Advent Blog along

Ok, so I don't have enough to do obviously... but who am I to turn down anything to do with Christmas??

Car has started the annual Advent Blog-Along - in which we are supposed to blog every day, if possible with the lead up to Christmas. I actually saw it on her blog earlier today, and was umming and ahhhing about whether or not I should do it. But she convinced me with "You know you want to..." So I'm in.

So it starts on the 1st December.
If you want to join, just sign up HERE and let us all have a squizzy at what you are making, creating and doing to the lead-up to Christmas. I assume this is a crafty Blog-along.

She's makin' a list, she's checking it twice.

I'm taking a leaf out of Gail's book - she's done a massive list of all she needs to accomplish until Christmas.

Very Hungry Caterpillar playmat

It's finished!
To be quite honest it's a HUGE playmat so may be better as a quilt. Anyway - that's not my call....

I'm so proud with how it turned out. Milly Moo loves it so much, I am going to make her one - but make it a HUGE one. :)

Results of challenge.

Well I did most of it! The only thing I didn't complete was the binding of the quilt. I have one more short side to do and it's done!! That should be finished tonight which is good! :)

So here it all is:

Reconstructed Dress:
This used to be a skirt - but it was so long and I felt like it made me look short and dumpy. My brother bought this for me as a birthday present. I have revamped it into an amazing looking sundress! It looks lovely on as well!!

Besties change mat:
You may remember some months ago, I made a nappy bag with a change mat in it. My bestie didn't want to use the change mat as a change mat because it was made with chennille. So... I made her another one she COULD use - with PUL backing. Let me say one thing. PUL is a pain in the butt to work with!! :(
But here it is:

Pram Bag
I made this one as a gift a few days ago:

I loved it so much and I thought I would benefit from it, so I made myself one to use when out and about with Milly Moo. Here it is:

I also completed the xmas cards - which are in the previous post, and I will show off the quilt when it's completed. :)

Tuesday - Thursday

Yesterday was such a productive day. I didn't finish the quilt, but I got about 75% of it quilted. I plan to do the rest tonight when it's not so hot.

I'll upload the photos of the pram bag when I take them off the card. At the moment I can't be bothered. :)

But this is the Christmas card I designed - it's for my son's kindy teachers and his therapists. Still more to make though....

So I have set a new challenge for myself: I have from Tuesday night - Thursday night to complete the following:

1. Finish quilting and bind to finish besties baby quilt.
2. Finish reconstructed dress
3. Make bestie's change mat
4. Make myself a pram bag :) (I liked the one I made so much!!)
5. Design 2 more Christmas cards
