I am a material girl...

Ok so I went to Spotlight and spent a small fortune.

This is flannel - I am going to make a raggy quilt with it.

This is more flannel - I am going to make Milly a raggy quilt with it.

And this I am going to use for my niece's Christmas presents.

Winter time is the perfect time to sit in the sun (When it's out) and do some sewing. Then in the evening, snuggle up under a quilt I am making and watch TV. Winter has it's perks afterall. :)

Pencil roll

Another pencil roll I whipped up for a little man who is turning two. I bought big fat pencils for his little hands to grip onto.

Baby Love

I have finished the raggy quilt I had started a while back. This is for my husband's cousin - she is pregnant with her first. She isn't going to find out the sex so I did it in lemon and pale green. Hopefully this can be used to keep the bubba toasty warm. :)

I am yet to attatch my "label" on it - because I haven't made them yet - but I'll do that before I give it to the expecting Mummy.

This was a very easy quilt to make and apart from getting blisters and a purple thumb from "ragging" the edges - pretty painless. :)

I am planning to make another one for my own baby girl - but twice as big with a few more colors. I have a few flannels sitting here now and I plan to purchase some more plus some more of that cotton wadding. Hopefully I get it done in time for winter. I would love her to be snug as a bug under a raggy quilt. Though no doubt the other two kids will want one as well. :)

Scarf and hat set.

I made this yesterday for my niece's birthday who has turned 4 and is being modelled by my own delightful girl. :)

I put an M on the green scarf (her initial) and an embroidered butterfly on the pink. I am happy with how it turned out.

I'm hooooome!

Hey all!!

I've been kicking back and relaxing in "sunny" Qld. - it rained pretty much the whole time we were there. Made a refreshing change to dry dust bowl here!!

Anyway this is something I did while I was away. Only one layout - but I got lots of hand piecing done for Mop's quilt and lots of ideas for new projects.

I'm starting to get ready for Christmas now, by deciding what I am going to make so I am prepared. I don't want a repeat of last year. :)

Here tis:

By the way, DH bought a new digital SLR while we were away so I am looking forward to practicing photography and getting much better photos to scrap!

Finished Altered Recipe Book

A group of friends and I have been participating in a swap. We are sharing our recipes - the ones that have been handed down, to the ones are kids like, special dishes that hold special memories. :)

This is what I have done. And I put digi-scrapped recipes in it. You may remember I put a few examples of it a month or so back. Anyway this is the finished product.

This is the little card I made:

I was so pleased with how it turned out. I loved it and was very tempted to keep it! :) But I couldn't let down my dear swap partner. I hope she likes it as much as I did.
