My very first and definitely not last mug rug!

I've seen these mug mats around the place and I've been wanting to make these for a while now. Finally I had a reason to whip one up. It was SIL's birthday last week and so I made her one. I love it so much! I'll be making stacks of these for sure!! They are so lovely and unique.

I have a few WIP's that I'm working on and hoping to get finished in the next few weeks.

I'm working on my friend's baby's quilt - the fabric is cut up and we are ready to assemble.
I'm also working on my Mum's birthday presents - it's just a matter of finishing on project and starting the others.

When I'm finished that, I have another big project I intend to embark on, and finish very quickly if I can. More about that later.

Just thought I would touch base.

This little man was such a good tempered and easy baby to photograph. He was very tolerant, even when he was woken up from a very short nap. He was so good!!









And just secretly, he made me very clucky! Shhhh!!

Reusable "zip lock bags"

My family go through SO many zip lock bags, I was tempted to buy Glad shares. But instead I decided to do something more environmentally friendly and sewed up reusable zip lock bags, using a $2.50 table cloth and some velcro. I have made snack and sandwich bag sizes. They are getting good use now that school has gone back!! :)
